WILLEMSTAD – Minister Earl Balborda (Vervoer) heeft gisteren de landsverordening Ruimtevaart ontvangen van Maurice Adriaens, directeur van Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH). De wetgeving is gemaakt door het Curaçao Aero-Space Law Team (CAST).
Government urges amendment notary law

WILLEMSTAD — In a letter to the Parliament the government urges to amend the National Regulation on the Office of Notary. This enactment regards notarial deeds that got lost between 1908 and 1997 and makes it possible that copies of these deeds can be used as replacement.

Art. 5:124 BW moet aldus worden verstaan dat een vereniging van eigenaars van rechtswege ontstaat bij de splitsing van een gebouw in appartementsrechten, mits de splitsingsakte mede de akte van oprichting en de statuten van een VvE inhoudt. Dat geldt ook in het geval dat alle appartementsrechten aanvankelijk nog in één hand zijn.

ORANJESTAD - Een nieuw ontwerp voor de zwaar verouderde wet auteursrecht is al in 2011 bij de minister van Economische Zaken ingediend, aldus Directeur Goswino Oduber van Bureau Intellectueel Eigendom. “De wet is in 1913 ingevoerd en nooit meer aangepast en voldoet niet meer aan de moderne technologie.”

PARAMARIBO – De doodstraf wordt voorlopig niet geschrapt uit de Surinaamse wet, ondanks een oproep daartoe van mensrechtenorganisatie Amnesty International. Parlementsvoorzitter Jennifer-Geerlings Simons ziet daar de noodzaak niet van in. Dat meldt De Ware Tijd.
