WILLEMSTAD - Hoewel Robbie’s Lottery sinds 2008 sms-loten verkoopt, kreeg concurrent Lucky Seven eind 2011 geen toestemming omdat het formeel niet is toegestaan. Dat blijkt uit een brief van de toenmalige minister van Algemene Zaken, Gerrit Schotte (MFK), aan de afgewezen loterijhouder. De brief is in handen van het Antilliaans Dagblad.

Helmin Wiels shot dead

WILLEMSTAD - Leader of Curaçao coalition party “Pueblo Soberano” (PS) Helmin Magno Wiels was shot and killed at the Marie Pampoen pier Sunday afternoon. Bystanders heard several shots at the public beach and fishing port, five of which apparently hit him.

WILLEMSTAD – Late this afternoon around 5 p.m. Helmin Wiels was shot dead at the pier at Maripampoen which is at the east side of the island. This was confirmed by the police. The leader of the political party Pueblo Soberano was instantly killed at the scene.
