POK delegation concerned about financial supervision

From a meeting held yesterday, in which the Dutch participants in the Parliamentary Deliberation Kingdom-relations (POK), scheduled for January of next year, have listed their wishes for the agenda, it appears that they are concerned about the financial supervision.
Committee for transfer of duties

A committee will be established to draw up a policy plan for the phased dismantling of the Land and the transfer of the Land’s duties to the island territory. The committee will consist of ministers, commissioners, and their advisors. That was settled last week during a deliberation between the Council of Ministers and the BC.
Division of the property of APNA

87.2 per cent of the property of Algemeen Pensioenfonds APNA belongs to Curacao. The rest falls to the other islands: 7 per cent to St. Maarten, 4.7 per cent to Bonaire, 0.6 per cent to Saba and 0.4 per cent to St. Eustatius. That is the conclusion of the Committee for Estimation of the property of APNA. In our Section about Constitutional Developments you can view the presentation of the Final Report of this Committee.
IVB-programs

Last week the cooperation program Institutional Reinforcement and ... ( Institutionele Versterking en Bestuurskracht - IVB) of Sint Maarten was signed. With this the IVB-programs for all Antillean islands are now ready to be implemented.

Confidence in the future

On March19th, 2008, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles held a speech for members of the Curacao Chamber of Commerce and Industry, entitled "Confidence in the future".
