De wereldwijde crisis op de financiële markten begint inmiddels ook tot de advocatuur in het Koningrijk door te dringen. En dan bedoel ik vooral de positieve gevolgen daarvan: de opportunities voor het voeren van een soort class action procedures tegen bestuurders, commissarissen en accountants van de financiële instellingen waarvan de waardes met miljarden tegelijk in rook zijn opgegaan. Uiteraard wordt daarbij ook gekeken naar de toezichthoudende instellingen en de overheden. Die hebben immers de diepste buidels en procedures voeren is vooral zinvol als er uiteindelijk verhaal mogelijk is.
