Wibo de Vries new director at Correctional Institute Caribbean Netherlands

KRALENDIJK - Per March 1st, 2017 Wibo de Vries will be appointed as director of the Correctional Institution Caribbean Netherlands (JICN).
 
De Vries has already been working at JICN since 2013. He first occupied the position of deputy director and since 2016 held the position of acting director. De Vries was named after former director Patricia Hassel was quite suddenly transferred by Rijksdienst Carbisch Nederland (RCN) to the position of Process Manager on St. Eustatius. The transfer of Hassel from her position as director at the Prison at the time led to passionate protests of employees at the correctional facilities as well as the union representing the employees.
 
Wibo de Vries has a long working experience in the prison system in the Netherlands, as well as on Curaçao and Bonaire. He chose with conviction for the Caribbean, where he is working in local employment within the JICN.
