New lawyers sworn in on Curacao

WILLEMSTAD - At the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten and of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba two lawyers were sworn in: Uldrick Dickens and Sixienne Jansen.
 
 
Uldrick Dickens graduated in 2012 at the University of the Netehrlands Antilles. He has worked as a legal advisor at the Land Registry and Cadastre Curacao, as a legal assistant at a law firm on Curacao and as an advosir with alife insurance company. 
 
 
Sixiènne Jansen obtained her LL.M. in Dutch law at the VU University Amsterdam, where she graduated in Transnational Legal Studies and contract law in 2013. As a student, Sixiènne  interned at multiple law firms, and worked as a legal advisor. After graduation, she was a legal consultant for Deloitte NL for 1.5 years. 
 
Sixiènne continued her career by joining law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne on Curacao as a junior associate in February 2016.

Lawyer Roeland Zwanikken considers legal action against ABN AMRO Bank

THE HAGUE--Attorney-at-law Roeland Zwanikken at St. Maarten’s BZSE law office is considering legal action against the intention of the Dutch ABN AMRO Bank to close the bank accounts of its clients in the Dutch Caribbean.
