WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday morning Carlos Trinidad was sworn in at the governor’s palace as Minister of Administration, Planning and Service (BPD) for the political party Pueblo Soberano in the presence of his family, Minister-President Gerrit Schotte and Minister Carlos Monk of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
A master plan, which unfolds the vision of the future for Curaçao, is one of the most important tasks he will be working on, said the new minister after he was sworn in yesterday. Former minister of BPD Carlos Monk presented the transitional report to Trinidad. The report contains the current state of affairs at the ministry.
Trinidad is the fourth PS-minister in two years’ time to hold this post. Norman Girigorie, Lia Willems and Carlos Monk had first ruled over the ministry. Carlos Monk was transferred to the Ministry of Education when Lionel Jansen handed in his resignation last March.
Trinidad comes from the private sector, where he was in charge of a real estate agent’s office. He is married and has three children.
