Appeal won by receivers

Two receivers, one accountant and one attorney at law, were dismissed in March as receiver for MIDCC and Imperial Trust by the judge supervising the bankruptcy proceedings. The appeal case on 13 April was won by the two receivers.

The Court ruled that the orders of the Court in First Instance had to be annulled with maintainance of the two receivers. The settlement of the two bankruptcies appears to be succesful, employment has been saved and the reputation of Aruba has not been damaged substantially. The receivers have failed in their reporting duty, but it can be expected that the receivers will keep their obligation to report strictly towards the presiding judges.
