Curaçao holds mediathon in support of victims hurricane Irma

WILLEMSTAD--The people of Curaçao, Bonaire and further afield can support the survivors of hurricane Irma via the ongoing One Love SXM mediathon.
 
ONE LOVE SXM is a full day event that includes a mediathon & benefit concert to help raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Irma in Sint Maarten, Saba & St. Eustatius.
 
United Telecommunications Services has enabled an SMS donation system that allows Chippie prepaid customers in Curaçao and Bonaire to make a donation for the one love effort. To help send a SMS to 4357 with the text “HELP” then the donation amount.
 
Donations made with Chippie Curacao numbers can be from minimum NAf 5 to maximum NAf 1,000. Donations made form Chippie Bonaire numbers can be minimum US $ 2.79 and maximum US $558.65.
 
The mediathon also has a call center for donations. Call 101 free from any Chippie and UTS landline.
 
The mediathon was in Sambilshopp ng mall until 4:00pm. It moved to Brionplein where it will continue until 11:00pm.
