Antilles not on US-list

The Antilles are favourably viewed regarding international tax affairs with the United States. They are not included on the list of ‘tax paradises’, which the Obama-government maintains in connection with the ‘Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act of 2009’ as announced recently.
Minister of Finances Timothy ‘Tim’ Geithner and his people therefore do not consider the Antilles as a jurisdiction that assists individuals or companies in evading taxes.
“The intensive consultation State Secretary Alex Rosaria (Finances, PNP) and I have held with the American Ministry of Finances and the correspondence between Geithner and myself, have been profitable then”, Finances-minister Ersilia de Lannooy applauds these most recent developments.
“This law fits in with the government’s policy to improve the internal tax legislation and simultaneously stimulate the international exchange of information in order to fill the gaps on the way to a clean tax regime”, Geithner announced in a press release.
According to financial experts, the new legislation will prevent tax evasion in the US for the next ten years to the amount of 8.5 billion dollars.
