Search for baby course on dump

PHILIPSBURG - Based on information circulating on Face book since Thursday evening June 2, 2016 concerning a corpse of a baby found in an advanced stage of decomposition on the dump (Landfill), the St. Maarten Police Force, KPSM and the Prosecutor Office immediately initiated a thorough investigation into this matter.
 
After tracing the person who had posted the information a search took place on Friday June 3, 2016 on the dump with members of KPSM, the Voluntary Corps St. Maarten (VKS) and led by the Prosecutor’s Office which lasted until the evening. 
 
The corpse however was not found. KPSM and the Prosecutor’s Office calls on anyone who may have information about this matter (baby and/or the mother) to contact KPSM at the Police tip line # 9300 or 54-22222 ext 213/214
