Fresh blood in Cifa-top

Herman Behr, Focco Lunsingh Scheurleer, ‘and possibly a third person’ will put aside their function in the executive committee of the Curaçao International Financial Services Association (Cifa).
Chairman Behr says that ‘the decision for changes in the executive committee was made last November already’. The byelaws require a maximum period of four years, when it comes to positions on the executive. “Such maximum term prevents that executive-members become ‘owners’ of the association. In a business where the persons in question can become partners or owners, they can stay longer, but that is not considered most cleverly in an organization like the Cifa.”
Behr says that this function pre-eminently gives opportunities to help the own community without having to get something back material-wise. “But either immediately or in due time you’re going to feel the satisfaction that you are doing something good for the community, of which you are part.”
