Governor in possession of draft national decree calling for elections July 26th

PHILIPSBURG- Deputy Prime Minister his Excellency William Marlin confirmed on Tuesday that a draft national decree is now in the hands of the Governor, His Excellency Eugene Holiday calling for Parliament to be dissolved and fresh elections called for 26 July.

 
If the national decree is signed by the Governor, this could mean that a new parliament would take its seat by 15 of August 2013.
 
According to the Deputy Prime Minister who was speaking on the program "View Point' with Lloyd Richardson on Tuesday, the draft national decree was sent to the Governor along with an explanation stating that the Prime Minister is refusing to acknowledge a majority decision of the council of ministers and that the national decree that is now being presented to him reflects this majority decision.
