Frielink installed as Honorary Consul Germany

Today attorney at law Karel Frielink was officially installed as Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Curaçao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. The event took place at the Avila Beach Hotel in the presence of German ambassador to The Hague, Heinz-Peter Behr, and other guests.
On the occasion Frielink’s appointment as Germany’s honorary consul Ambassador Behr paid a working visit to the Caribbean. Frielink accompanied Behr on his trip.
Karel Frielink is the successor of mr. Bastian Kooyman, who has been the honorary consul for Germany since 1983. In his speech Behr thanked Kooyman for his work during these 28 years and his personal involvement with the German people on Curacao.
The German honorary consul for Curaçao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba provides diplomatic services and is adviser to companies and citizens who want to do business on one of the islands.
