No unlawful acts by Schotte or Tromp

The investigation by national detectives into both Curaçao Prime Minister Gerrit Schotte (MFK) and Central Bank director Emsley Tromp based on allegations back and forth did not turn up any unlawful acts by either.
Both men received a letter from the Public Prosecutor's Office confirming such. Tromp's accusations against two other MFK Ministers Jamaloodin and El Hakim are still being looked into and investigated, as there are still witnesses to be heard, one of which is abroad, indicated Schotte.
Tromp had questioned the fact that the young prime minister had made payments with cheques from Vandiss gas station. Schotte had reacted that everyone knew he had a relationship with Vanddis director Cicely van der Dijs and there was nothing out of the ordinary.
Schotte had filed a counter-claim for blackmail, arguing that Tromp had wanted to pressure government into not pursuing the Central Bank director's own controversial role in guaranteeing a three-million-guilder loan without collateral from a local commercial bank for a business partner of his girlfriend to finance two clothing stores in the Renaissance Mall. The probe into that matter is still ongoing.
