15 February Summary proceedings Rosalia versus Leeflang

On Tuesday 15 February  the Court will give judgment in the case, which Minister of Education René Rosalia instituted against Omayra Leeflang.

Rosalia is angry about the accusations Leeflang had uttered against him in her radio program ‘Ata palabra’. He demands a rectification.

In the radio program, Leeflang accused the Minister of sexual intimidation. According to Leeflang, he had beleaguered employees at Kas di Kultura sexually for years. In her radio program, she read passages from an e-mail that substantiate her accusations. Rosalia had been director of the culture foundation until September last year. He believes these accusations harm his good name.

Rosalia contends that the case is not what is seems. He had actually become the victim of sexual advances from one of his former employees. However, Leeflang sticks to her words.

The case will come up in Court on 15 February. Marius Römer will be René Rosalia’s lawyer. It is unknown, who will be Leeflang’s lawyer yet. She says she has not received a summons yet and will await the court case.
