Change of partners at HBN Law

Mr. Robert E. Blaauw, senior partner of Law firm HBN Law has left the partnership a few months ago. Mr. Blaauw will still be asscociated with the firm as a "senior counsel”
HBN Law, founded in 1938 in Curaçao, employs approximately 25 attorneys in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and St. Maarten, of which five are partners.
On January 1, 1987 Mr. Robert E. Blaauw became a partner in the firm, then named Zielinski & Halley. The name of the firm was changed in 1991 to Halley & Blaauw. In 1993 the firm moved from its old offices in Pietermaai to Huize Belvedere in Otrobanda. At that time Mr. Nelson N. Navarro joined as a partner and the name of the firm changed to Halley Blaauw & Navarro.
In the years following the firm opened further offices in Aruba and Bonaire, and Mr. Eric R. de Vries joined the firm as a partner. Subsequently Mrs. Mildred Schwengle became a partner of the firm in Aruba and Mr. Maarten Le Poole became a partner of the firm in St. Maarten. At the end of 2005, and thus 67 years after being founded, the firm changed its name to HBN Law. In January 2008 Mr. Jeroen Eichhorn and Mr. Luigi M. Virginia joined the firm in Curacao and Bonaire as partners.
