PHILIPSBURG - The Public Prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (OM) Sint Maarten demanded a prison sentence of 12 years for the man T. “Bubba” F. (1974, Sint Maarten) on Wednesday 26 September 2018.

WILLEMSTAD - Vrijdag, 21 september 2018, is de verdachte G.R.M. Jamaloodin door de Rechter-commissaris (RC) gehoord op de vordering bevel tot bewaring. Het Openbaar Ministerie (OM) Curacao vindt het noodzakelijk dat Jamaloodin langer blijft vastzitten in het belang van het onderzoek, reden waarom een vordering bewaring is gedaan.

WILLEMSTAD - Het Hof doet over vier weken, op 18 oktober om 13:30 uur, uitspraak in de zaak "Followers" van het OM tegen "pastoor/apostel" Orando B.

WILLEMSTAD - Het Hof heeft donderdag 20 september 2018 in hoger beroep uitspraak gedaan in de zaak van het Openbaar Ministerie (OM) Curaçao tegen de man R.E.E. (Curaçao, 1981).

WILLEMSTAD - De man Y.N. (1982, Bulgarije) is op Curaçao aangehouden. Dit in het kader van een uitleveringsverzoek van Bondsrepubliek Duitsland.

PHILIPSBURG - The Human Trafficking Department of KPSM conducted an additional raid this morning, September 18, 2018 in connection to the ongoing investigation into the illegal employment of Venezuelans by various construction companies.

PHILIPSBURG - Police officers and detectives of the St. Maarten Police Force carried out a re-enactment of the fatal August 27 shooting at Chincherry Road in Pointe Blanche on Wednesday evening in the presence of the man who allegedly shot down a would-be robber.

PHILIPSBURG - Suspect M.J-C. was arrested today by the Landsrecherche in the ongoing TRIGGERFISH investigation. M.J-C. is suspected of having embezzled sums of money from the bank accounts of the Sint Maarten branch of the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba over an extended period of time.

PHILIPSBURG - An exploitation claim against Filipino women working on St. Maarten was filed on July 20, 2018. These kind of claims are taken seriously and therefore immediate action was taken.

PHILIPSBURG - The retrial of the case against suspect Silvio Matser (52), former Member of Parliament, took place in court today Wednesday, September 5, 2018. The suspect was absent during the January 31, 2018 hearing, therefore the case had to be retried.

DEN HAAG - De Advocaat-generaal (AG) van de Hoge Raad geeft de Hoge Raad vandaag in Den Haag in overweging het cassatieberoep van oud-Minister-president Curaçao, Gerrit Schotte en diens partner Cicely van der Dijs, (onderzoek Babel) te verwerpen.

ROTTERDAM/PHILIPSBURG - The suspect R.M. was arrested Thursday August 23 in Rotterdam by the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) at the request of the Anti-corruption Taskforce (TBO).

PHILIPSBURG - Mr. O'Neal Arrindell was detained and taken into custody today by the Anti-corruption Taskforce (TBO). He is suspected of intentionally removing the luxury yacht "Jefe" of the seizure made by the Public Prosecutor’s Office on July 11 in St. Maarten.
