KRALENDIJK - The office of the Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has sent out a short statement in relation to the violent death of cruise ship employee Adriana Morales.

 

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Ms. Adriana Morales de Florencio. This tragic incident is being investigated by the Bonaire Police Department which will be providing information as the facts become available. Every year, Bonaire welcomes thousands of tourist to the island and through their contact with our people, we have developed a global reputation for our friendliness and for our genuine welcome. We deeply regret any type of incident that might tarnish that reputation and we will work with all law enforcement authorities to root out and expose any persons who run contrary to the true nature of our people. We ask anyone with additional information that might be pertinent to this matter to report it directly to the Bonaire Police Department (Tel. 717-8000/715-8000). All further questions should be directed to the Police department.”
