VANEPS KUNNEMAN VANDOORNE ADVISES RBC REGARDING LOAN TO SETAR

VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne has recently advised the Caribbean branch of RBC Merchant Bank regarding the loan of USD 59 mln that RBC has provided to Setar, the Aruban telecom company.
 
RBC and Setar agreed on the loan on 30 September 2014 already, but did not announce this until mid November. This was reported by Antilliaans Dagblad (Antillian Daily) on 14 November.
 
The advising team on behalf of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne was lead by managing partner Focco Lunsingh Scheurleer, and furthermore comprises associates Natasha Joubert and Sueena Francisco, and junior associates Nathalie Tackling and Gerald de Jong.  
 
According to managing director Roland Croes, the agreement is an important milestone for Setar. “It secures our investments, which is crucial for the growth and innovation of our company. It enables us to maintain our position as market leader in Aruba.” For Setar, the loan by RBC is the largest in the history of the company.
