Curacao economy needs economic stimulus say's Central Bank

WILLEMSTAD - There is an urgent need for Curacao to introduce measures to get its economic activities up to acceptance. This was the advice to the government by Director of the Central Bank of Curacao and St. Maarten, Drs. Emsley Tromp.
 
He made the observation whilst presenting the annual report of the CBCS.
 
According to the Director of the Central Bank, compare to St. Maarten, Curacao has not been allowing imports of new capital to the island.
 
He specifically made mentioned of tourism activities on St. Maarten which is generating 70 percent of the income of the island.
 
In his annual report, the Director of the Central Bank also contributed some of the economic growth on St. Maarten to among other areas, the yachting industry.

THE HAGUE--Attorney-at-law Roeland Zwanikken at St. Maarten’s BZSE law office is considering legal action against the intention of the Dutch ABN AMRO Bank to close the bank accounts of its clients in the Dutch Caribbean.
