PDVSA tenders to sell 240,000 bbl jet fuel cargo for April

HOUSTON - Venezuela's state-run PDVSA launched a tender to sell one 240,000 barrel cargo of jet fuel for delivery on April 11-13 at the Caribbean island of Curacao, according to a document seen by Reuters on Friday. This is the second jet fuel tender that PDVSA has launched this month and the sixth of refined products for March-April delivery.
 
In January the company resumed exports of ultra low-sulfur diesel (ULSD), after replacing domestic consumption of distillates with natural gas used by thermoelectrical plants.
 
The tender says that PDVSA will receive bids until April 1 and they must be indexed to jet fuel prices at its destination. The cargo has to be unloaded in Florida, U.S. Gulf or East Coasts, the Caribbean, Canada, West Africa, Northwest Europe or the Mediterranean.
 
PDVSA operates the 335,000 barrel per day (bpd) Isla refinery in Curacao and the nearby Bullenbay terminal. The company said it will receive payment for this cargo in euros, eight days after delivery of bill of lading. (Reporting by Marianna Parraga)
