The College financial supervision held for the first time a press conference in her total capacity yesterday. The members nominated by St. Maarten and Curacao (respectively Roland Tuitt and Ivan de Windt) were recently appointed after the Order in Council for the Kingdom temporary financial supervision was established in November for these future countries.
The member for Curacao, Ivan de Windt explains that the idea is not that he is engaged in Curacao specifically . “All the members look at the different budgets. I don’t look especially to that of Curacao. The thing is that you have the necessary contacts. When I was approached, I thought that it won’t take so much of my time. But I was very busy with it in January; in the past ten days I was for 100 percent busy with Cft. It has to settle in, which also took ten days.”
