Gisteren is de nota van wijziging gepubliceerd met betrekking tot de Belastingregeling Nederland Curaçao. Hoewel de wijzigingen voornamelijk technische en tekstuele wijzigingen betreffen worden er ook een groot aantal vragen beantwoord van leden van de Staten en leden van de 2e kamer.

NETHERLANDS - Staatssecretaris Wiebes van Financiën informeert de Tweede Kamer over de nota naar aanleiding van het verslag, tevens nota naar aanleiding van het verslag van de Staten van Curaçao, en een nota van wijziging met betrekking tot het voorstel van rijkswet houdende de regeling voor Nederland en Curaçao tot het vermijden van dubbele belasting en het voorkomen van het ontgaan van belasting met betrekking tot belastingen naar het inkomen en een woonplaatsfictie ter zake van erf- en schenkbelasting (Kamerstukken II 2014/ 33 955).

High Court rejects all but one Standard Trust appeal

PHILIPSBURG--The High Court in The Hague this week rejected all but one appeal filed in the so-called Standard Trust case. Only the case of Standard Trust Company (STC) NV director co-director Jodi Lynn Garner (42) was referred back to the Joint Court of Justice in St. Maarten for retrial.
