No Coup On Curacao

WILLEMSTAD – According to different reports in the region, there is a coup on the island of Curacao. Reliable sources in Curacao itself have stated that there is no coup in Curacao. The majority in Parliament has chosen a new Government which was sworn in today by the Acting Governor of Curacao.

WILLEMSTAD - Demissionair premier Schotte zit met zijn minister van Financiën nog altijd in het regeringsgebouw Fort Amsterdam in Curaçao. De andere leden van zijn regering zijn vertrokken. Zij waren van plan om weer terug te komen, maar dat lukt ze waarschijnlijk niet meer.

Autopsies performed in Cupecoy case, suspect arrested

PHILIPSBURG - Today the autopsies have been performed on the bodies of Michael and Thelma King. The results of the autopsies will be discussed with the prosecutors and the police. Presumably tomorrow the bodies of the victims will be released to the family.

PHILIPSBURG - Yesterday afternoon a second house search was conducted in an adjacent house to that of the two victims at the Ocean Club Resort. There were indications that this house belonged to the victims who were found in their house at the resort. Nothing was seized.

CUPECOY - Late this morning Police were informed about a possible crime scene in a house at the Ocean Club Resort in Cupecoy. Upon arrival Police discovered the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman. Both appeared to have sustained lethal stab wounds.
